Properties: white or light yellow crystalline powder, soluble in ethanol, ethyl ketone, benzene, dichloroacetylene, insoluble in water and aliphatic hydrocarbons. There is a danger of fire when it is dry. The combustion temperature is 140°C and the natural temperature is 290°C.

Uses: Used as a vulcanizing agent and accelerator for natural rubber and synthetic rubber. When used as a vulcanizing agent, active sulfur can be decomposed at the vulcanization temperature, and its content is about 27%. It is safe to operate, and there is no risk of scorching even if high wear-resistant furnace black is used. The vulcanization speed is slow when used alone, and the vulcanization speed can be increased when used together with accelerators such as thiazole, thiuram, dithiocarbamate and other accelerators. Adding a small amount of sulfur is better. Salicylic acid acid substances promote the decomposition of this product and speed up the vulcanization speed, but can reduce the physical properties. Does not bloom, does not change color, does not pollute, and is easy to disperse. DTDM is used for tires and thick products, the others are used for wires, cables, heat-resistant products or thin products, especially for butyl rubber. The vulcanizate has good heat resistance, aging resistance and deformation performance.
